Super Bowl Ad #3 - Touchdown Celebration Dance

The third Super Bowl commercial ad that I evaluated was the 'Touchdown Celebration'. This commercial was a product of the NFL. This ad displayed Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. portrayed a touchdown dance inspired by "Dirty Dancing". The use of Beckham Jr. appeals to the younger generation because of his massive follower-base in fans and followers on all social media platforms. The younger generation seeing Beckham Jr. on an ad will automatically engage their attention to watch the ad. The use of Manning appeals to more of the older age group generation because of his big fan base as well. Manning is also very popular on all of the social media platforms and with views from his fans and followers can bring more money to the commercial ad company in which they will have more followers and money. The commercial itself utilizes humor to shed light upon the idea that the NFL is lightening up their view on touchdown dances for the players to express their happiness of getting a touchdown for their team. Whereas, before they might've issued a penalty for a dance. The target audience of this ad is generally for women as the use of the dance from the popular 80's chick flick Dirty Dancing is portrayed by the celebrities. You can also deduct that the target audience is for women because the NFL has lately been firing big players as they have been charged with domestic violence towards 'women'. The overall goal is to get more women to watch the NFL.
